REPO: How To Tumble Climb

This REPO guide will go over how to unlock and use the Tumble Climb, a new grappling hook mechanic in the game.

REPO’s level design has always been pretty good, but the game’s latest update adds in a new third dimension with the Tumble Climb upgrade. In the game’s latest patch, the devs have introduced the Tumble Climb mechanic that allows you to climb walls and essentially functions as a grapple hook. 

With walls now fair game, you can approach enemy encounters and traversal across levels in fresh new ways. This is one of the best mechanics in the game, but the game does a poor job of explaining how it works. If you’re coming back to REPO to try out the Tumble Climb but don’t know how to, this guide is for you.

How To Unlock the Tumble Climb in REPO

Before you can Tumble Climb in REPO, you first need to unlock the Tumble Climb mechanic from the game’s shop. Head over to the Service Station area of the game, and you’ll then be able to purchase the Tumble Climb for around $4000 to $5000. It is a hefty investment, and you need to consider the level and monsters you’re facing before making a purchase. We recommend purchasing this only when you’re up against ground-based monsters.

How To Use the Tumble Climb in REPO

Once you’ve picked up the Tumble Climb from the Service Station, follow the steps below to use the mechanic:

• Equip the upgrade and press E to consume it. 
• Then, use the Tumble Launch by pressing Q. 
• After using the Tumble, your crosshair will turn blue. 
• Aim your blue crosshair anywhere that you want to climb. 
• Press and hold the LMB, and then pull the mouse down. LMB will shoot out the grappling hook, and the downward mouse movement will launch you into the air. You can then use this to freely traverse across the map. Take note that using the Tumble Climb consumes a lot of stamina, so you have to invest in this if you plan to make it a part of your build.
