You will find a host of alien creatures and plants while playing Revenge of the Savage Planet. While most of these are out to get you, a few of them are innocent creatures with not a mean bone in their bodies.

Brainards are one such creature that you’ll encounter quite early on in the game. Although they do not attack you or do any harm to you, you still need to capture one to study it. In this guide, we’ll explain exactly where you can find them and the process of capturing a Brainard in Revenge of the Savage Planet.

Brainards are the little purple mushroom-like creatures with a red head. You’ll encounter them just after exiting the tutorial region of Stellaris Prime. However, it can be difficult to spot these little creatures, since they tend to blend in with their environment quite seamlessly. Check near the big mushroom in this initial area and near the edges of the cliff. These are some of the spots that the Brainards often frequent.

If you’ve already moved past this area without ever finding a Brainard, don’t worry. You can always come back to this region later and look for the alien life form then.

Capturing the Brainard doesn’t require any special maneuvers, unlike the other hostile animal captures in the game. That’s because the Brainard won’t attack you on sight or when you try to capture it. So, there isn’t any need to focus on hitting its weak point to stun it.

Instead, all you need to do is approach the creature and use the lasso on it. Once the animal is caught in your lasso, simply pull it toward you by holding on to the lasso button. As it gets close to you, the vortex will appear and pull the Brainard in. That’s how you capture the Brainard easily.
