The Gravship is a new traversal ship introduced in Rimworld Odyssey, and also doubles as a portable base for you to reside in.
Rimworld Odyssey is out and has brought in a ton of new content to Rimworld, but the Gravships might be the star addition of this DLC. Gravships are a new method of traversal in the game and grant access to previously inaccessible biomes and locations. They’re one of the best means of travel, but acquiring a Gravship is a difficult task.
You can either acquire the Gravship through a DLC scenario or build it yourself. Both methods require different approaches, and we’re here to help you with that. In this guide, we will go over how to get and build a Gravship in Rimworld Odyssey.

How To Get a Gravship in Rimworld Odyssey
By default, the best way to get the Gravship is to play ‘The Gravship’ DLC scenario. Playing this gives you the Grav Engine and two thrusters. With the necessary tech in hand, you can use the Gravship right away.
While ‘The Gravship’ scenario does give you a Gravship, it also sends mechanoids out to hunt you. The mechanoids will force you to flee, and you’ll soon be funneled into the nomadic playstyle. This playstyle is exciting but also difficult. However, being forced into a playstyle is also incredibly restrictive, and building the ship outside the scenario is a better alternative.
How To Build a Gravship in Rimworld Odyssey
To build your own Gravship, you’ll have to play through the DLC for a few in-game days until you get the Mechanoid Signal quest. This quest will make a Grav Engine and related panels fall from the sky and spawn on your map. These parts are what you need to begin the process of building your own Gravship.

Once the quest is active, send a Pawn to investigate the crash site, which will then unlock Basic Gravitech on the Research Table. Proceed with this research to unlock Grav Anchor, Grav Field Extender, Gravship Hull, Pilot Console, Small Chamfuel Tank, and Small Thruster.
Next, you need to assemble the parts inside a skeleton structure. To do so, you have to build the structure first, and for that, you need the Gravship Substructure tiles. Construct these tiles using 1x Gravlite Panel and 4x Steel. Use these tiles to build around the Grav Engine. Place all the parts within the confines and around the engine, and your Gravship is now ready.
