In this guide, we’ll go through the entire process through which you can plot routes in Roadcraft. Find out what counts as successful routes.

Building routes can be a frustrating mechanic for you in Roadcraft. That’s primarily because if you don’t follow a perfect method, the routes you plot can easily fail. So, by the time you reach a point in the game where you’ll need to chart routes between your base and other waypoints, you have to be familiar with the process.
In this guide, we’ll explore how you can plot routes in Roadcraft. We’ll also explain how each step of the process affects your outcome when plotting these routes.
How To Plot Routes in Roadcraft

You’ll need to plot routes in the game to transport essential resources to your base. In constructing the routes, the most important thing to remember is to make sure that the route you pick is clear of obstacles. If there are too many obstacles along the way, your non-drivable vehicle will stall. This will cause the game to treat it as a failed route. So, you’ll need to follow the right procedure when charting these routes.
The steps mentioned below should help you master the mechanic.

- Step 1: Open up the game map.
- Step 2: Now, navigate to the yellow point. This is the point where you have to bring the resources, and it’s generally a warehouse of some sort. Click on the yellow point.
- Step 3: Next, navigate to the white point. This is the location from which the resource will be coming to the objective point. Don’t click on the white marker yet. Doing so will begin charting a route between the two points.
- Step 4: Check the route that you’re about to plot for any kind of obstacles or debris. It is best to select a route that has the least amount of obstacles in sight. Otherwise, the non-drivable vehicle will stall.
- Step 5: After you’ve selected a path that’s mostly free from obstacles, click on the white marker and begin charting waypoints along your route. Make sure the lines you draw are interconnected and eventually reach your base from the warehouse location.
- Step 6: Once you’ve created the route, select the dispatch vehicle option.
If the vehicle passes through the route without any issues, the route plotting is successful. This will mean that the resources will safely reach your base. If the dispatched vehicle gets stuck though, you can clear the obstacle blocking its way. Or, you can start plotting a different route from scratch.
