The 99 Nights in the Forest Meteor Shower Update brings Trim Kits that you can craft to upgrade your axe and armor. You can craft the Trim Kits at the new Meteor Anvil, which has different recipes. 99 Nights in the Forest Meteor Update: Trim Kits
How To Craft Trim Kits
You can craft Trim Kits from the Meteor Anvil at the Took Workshop. This is essentially an upgraded version of the base Anvil in the Tool Workshop. It only spawns after the meteor shower is triggered before day 5 during the 99 Nights in the Forest Meteor Event. Go inside and repair the anvil as normal, and you will get access to the new recipes that require materials from the meteor crash sites.
Trim Kit Crafting Recipes
Two separate kits buff your armor or axe. Below is the list of ingredients required for each item.

| Armour Trim Kit | 8 Meteor Shards, 5 Golden Shards |
Both Gold and Meteor Shards are drops from the red crystals at several meteor crash sites. You can mine them using your axe. Once you have enough, bring them to the Meteor Anvil and select the recipe you want to craft.
Using the Trim Kit
Once the item is crafted:
- Have the corresponding item (gear or Axe) equipped.
- Press E to upgrade, and the axe or the armor will get upgraded.
- Apart from boosting damage/defense, it also changes the visual of the gear, adding golden bits to certain places. See the golden Good Axe portrayed above.
