Umbral Prince (Eclipse) is one of the new units in Anime Last Stand. Introduced on July 15, 2025, in Update 62, it is currently the final form of the Berserk’s Griffith-inspired Umbral Prince unit in the game. If you complete the new secret quest, you can also unlock the upgraded Light and Dark versions of the unit. In this article, we will explain the step-by-step process of evolving the Umbral Prince (Eclipse) and also provide a comprehensive rundown of the tower’s stats.
How To Get Umbral Prince (Eclipse) In Anime Last Stand
The evolution chain for the unit is as follows:
- The Umbral Prince → Unleashed Umbral Prince → Umbral Prince (Eclipse) → Umbral Prince (Dark) or Umbral Prince (Holy)
To obtain the final form, you will have to play some of the content introduced in the latest Anime Last Stand Update 62. However, before that, you should first obtain the base version of the unit.
How To Obtain the Base Version
You can get the base Umbral Prince unit in Anime Last Stand via the Underworld Dimension Portal. The owner is guaranteed the unit upon completion of the Secret tier of the portal. As of now, you can get the portal by playing the infinite mode of the Sacrificial Realm Story Act in World 2 or the Lost Castle Infinite Mode in World 1. Returning players should do this too, as it has a chance to drop another item you will need later.
First Evolution: Unleashed Umbral Prince
You will need the following items to complete the first evolution:
- 10x Mythic Spirit Shards
- 25x Legendary Spirit Shards
- 75x Epic Spirit Shards
- 100x Rare Spirit Shards
- 250x Spirit Shards
- 1x King Egg: Can Drop from the Underworld Dimension Portal
The King Egg is a craftable item. Here are its ingredients:
- 5x Mythic Spirit Shards
- 10x Legendary Spirit Shards
- 20x Epic Spirit Shards
- 50x Rare Spirit Shards
- 100x Spirit Shards
Second Evolution: Umbral Prince (Eclipse) Secret Quest
Once you have the Unleashed Umbral Prince, you may not have the option to evolve the unit. This is because you need to obtain another item and start the new secret questline added in Anime Last Stand Update 62. To start the Secret Quest, find the Umbral Prince NPC in World 2. You will find him near the Enchanting area in the lobby. He will ask you to collect the Eclipse Seed.
The Eclipse Seed has a 5% drop chance when defeating a Dark Element Boss. To farm this, play any Infinite Mode with Dark Element enemies. Ensure the “Disable Item Obtainment Animation” is not enabled to receive notifications of the drop. After you have obtained the Eclipse Seed, go back to the NPC. This will unlock the Umbral Prince (Eclipse) evolution.
To evolve, you will need the following ingredients:
- 250x Dark Essence: Drops from Dark Elemental Caverns (Or Bought at Shops)
- 250x Light Essence: Drops from Light Elemental Caverns (Or Bought at Shops)
- 300x Sacrifice Essence: Drops from Act 1-3 of the Sacrificial Realm Legend Stage
- 20x Mythic Spirit Shards
- 50x Legendary Spirit Shards
- 150x Epic Spirit Shards
- 200x Rare Spirit Shards
- 500x Spirit Shards
- 1x Pristine Rapier: Received from Sacrificial Realm Legend Stage Act 2
This is not the final stage.
Final Stage: Unlocking Umbral Prince (Dark) or (Holy)
To get to the final form, talk to the NPC after you have evolved the unit. He will give you a secret item called the Egg of the King. This is not the King Egg and is not used for crafting purposes. After receiving the item, start a game with Umbral Prince (Eclipse) and trigger the passive Sacrifice to Eclipse by sacrificing units worth 10 million cash. If done properly, the unit will evolve to the final stage for the duration of the fight: Umbral Prince (Darkness).
Now, go back to the NPC and finish the quest. This will permanently change the Sacrifice passive for the unit. Every time you trigger it, you can select between the Dark and Holy versions of the unit. These stages have increased damage depending on how many units you sacrifice.
Requirements for the Light Sacrifice:
- Sacrifice at least 50k Cash
- Disable the ability to spawn the Eclipse
For the Dark Sacrifice:
- The Black Swordsman (Berserker) must be placed on the map beforehand
- Sacrifice at least 100K Cash
The passive stats for each version are discussed below.
Anime Last Stand: Umbral Prince (Eclipse) Stats
Here are the base stats for the Umbral Prince (Eclipse):
- Placement Cost: $5,000
- Tier: Ultimate
- Damage: 50M
- Range: 20
- SPA: 60
- Tower Type: Hybrid
- Element: Neutral
- Sub Type: Physical
- Attack Type: Circle (AOE)
Ability
The Umbral Prince (Eclipse) has the Sacrifice Ability. Here is a breakdown of the ability:
- Sacrifice all units within range and absorb their total cost into the Eclipse Meter.
- More expensive units contribute more to the progress
- When the Eclipse Meter is full, the unit instantly transforms into the Dark Form.

After completing the quest, the Sacrifice ability changes its buffs. For each threshold of cash sacrificed to the Umbral Prince, it gains the following buffs upon transformation to Light or Dark:
- $100-300K: +40% DMG
- $301-500K: +60% DMG
- $501-750K: +80% DMG
- $751-950K: +100% DMG
- $951-1.49M: +150% DMG
- $1.5M+: +200 DMG, +15% RNG
- This buff can stack up to +1000% DMG and +75% RNG
Passives
The Eclipse
The primary passive of the tower is called The Eclipse. This triggers after Wave 30 if Black Swordsman (Berserker) is placed on the map:
- 2.5% chance per wave to spawn the Eclipse.
Upon spawning the Eclipse:
- Dark Element units and Black Swordsman (Berserker) gain +75% damage, but +15% SPA
- 5% chance for Dark Element units to stun a random unit in range for 3 seconds per attack.
- Gain access to The Eclipse ability, which lasts for 300-600 seconds.
Blood Moon
This is exclusive to the Dark version. After applying the Hemorrhage effect to a total of 250 enemies, the unit gains the following buffs permanently:
- +50% damage
- +100% DoT damage
- Every 30 seconds that an enemy has been under Hemorrhage, they take 2x damage from him on the next attack and also receive the Bleed effect.
If the Eclipse passive is active, gain the following buffs for its duration:
- +20% damage.
- Enemies taken down by him are summoned with their original max HP.
Knight’s Resolve
This is exclusive to the Light version. Every 60 seconds:
- +50% damage to all units on the map (55-second duration)
Every 20 seconds, randomly performs one of the following buffs to units on the map for 10 seconds:
- +10% range
- -5% SPA
- +10% crit damage
For every unit in the Umbral Prince’s range that is receiving a buff from him:
- Gain +10% crit damage (Cap: +100%)
- Gain +5% range (Cap: +50%)
- Gain +2% crit chance (Cap: +20%)
