Anime Vanguards refuses to play it safe, and the Version 6.0 Heaven & Hell update proves it. The patch floods the lobby with nine fresh units, a head-to-head PvP arena, two punishing stages, weekly Rift rotations, leaderboard-exclusive skins, and an entire stack of modifier reworks.
Whether you chase banner pulls, climb ranked ladders, or master new mechanics like Armored enemies, every corner of the game receives a meaningful shake-up.
Anime Vanguards Heaven & Hell Patch Notes
The Version 6.0 update is packed with major additions, mechanical changes, and visual improvements. Here’s everything you need to know to stay ahead:
New Units and Evolutions
- Kazzy (Queen) – Available via Gem Banner
- NotGoodGuy (Free) – Pull from Gem Banner
- Brisket (Yo-yo) – Pull from Gem Banner
- Gear Boy (Hungry) – Pull from Gem Banner
- Lfelt (Love) – Unlock from Heaven or Hell Stages
- Byeken (Ronin) – Get the quest item from Legend Stage
- Astolfo (Rider of Black) – Appears in Rift rotation
- Al (Good) – Obtain through Battle Pass
- Dark Mage (Evil) – Also in Battle Pass
New PvP Game Modes
- Traitless or Traited – Choose to level the field or show off top-tier units
- Negative Modifier Cards – Every 5 waves, both players get a random debuff
- Assault Mode – 1v1 where players send enemies to each other (15 mutators)
- Defense Mode – 1v1 pure strategy test
- Ranked Mode – Skill-based matchmaking with the ability to ban units
- PvP Rewards – Earn PvP Coins to redeem in PvP Shop for:
- Trait Rerolls
- Phoenix Shards
- Ro Jer Bike Mount
- Other exclusive items
Story and Legend Stages
- Heaven’s Edge (Story) – Features Armored enemies with stack-based damage reduction
- Shining Castle (Legend) – Grants Byeken’s quest item upon completion
Rift Changes
- Rift Now Cycles Weekly – Missed a unit? You’ll get another shot every week
- New Rift Shop Items:
- Secret Temporal Rift – Opens a rift in your current lobby
- Mythic Foo – New familiar for added power
New Unit Skins (Leaderboard Exclusives)
- Gleeful Disorder (Alocard) – PvP Leaderboard
- Jenny (Vigil) – Infinite Leaderboard
- Kye (Saber) – Tournament Leaderboard
- Doorman (Cu Chulainn) – Tournament Leaderboard
Odyssey Modifier Reworks
- Spoils of War (New) – 0.5% drop chance for modifiers from enemies (replaces Nexus Core)
- Luck Catcher (New) – +1 roll for luck-based modifiers per stack (replaces System Fragment)
- Affinity – Pulls a random element from a non-farm unit in your team
- Essence Collector – Gives +50 yen per kill, scaling with stacks
- Battle Frenzy – Increases DMG by 0.25% and reduces SPA by 0.25% per kill (caps at 30)
Additional System Changes and Fixes
- Reworked Maps – Shibuya Station and Planet Namak redesigned
- Match Invites – Hosts can now invite players directly into matches
- Item/Unit Finder – Track unlocked items and units by Act
- Element Adjustments – Multiple elements rebalanced
- Quality of Life (QoL) – General polish across menus and mechanics
- Bug Fixes – Stability and gameplay issues resolved across several areas
