The core gameplay mechanics are similar to other popular fighting games. However, there are three types of tools in the game that set the game apart:
Bombs
The game has bombs that you can use to knock enemies away. You get a free bomb in every match as a starting weapon. You can aim bombs at an enemy, and they will explode three seconds after making contact. One of the biggest issues with bombs is that they are unpredictable. It is difficult to aim a bomb at a moving player and do maximum damage. However, you can use bombs for map control and prevent other players from pushing you aggressively.
Rocket Hammers
Rocket Hammers are powerful melee weapons that you can get in certain maps. Landing a direct hit with them knocks players away. You should use Rocket Hammers if you don’t enjoy using bombs and other explosives for ranged combat.
Environmental
The third type of tool you have at your disposal is the map itself. Every map has various environmental tools like jump pads, portals, and speed rails. You can use them to dodge attacks to avoid damage. Alternatively, you can also throw enemies into jump pads and speed rails to send them off the map.
The easiest way to improve at Blast Zone is to simply play the game. You have to experience every map in the game and plan your strategies accordingly. Currently, there are four maps in the game with different layouts and mechanics. Some of them have hidden mechanics and secret doors, so you should learn them and use them to your advantage.
