The highlight of the Fishing Update is naturally the new fishing mechanic in 99 Nights in the Forest. In addition to all of the previous food sources, such as crops and meat from animals, players can now fish from designated water sources using the new Fishing Rod item. The Fishing Rod spawns in the new Fishing Hut location. As of the update, you have to find the place on the map after spawning into a game.

You will find multiple rods at the Fishing Hut, allowing your whole party to use the new feature. If you fish, you can upgrade your Old Rod and gradually have better chances of catching better fish. There are nine different species of fish you can find around the map in 99 Nights in the Forest as of the Fishing Update.

2 New Classes

The update also brings two new classes you can unlock using Diamonds. The new classes are:

  • Fisherman (50 Diamonds)
  • Pyromaniac (600 Diamonds)

The Fisherman class is very good if you want to get better at fishing, while the Pyromaniac adds an overpowered flamethrower. The flamethrower is very powerful in the early game and also cooks rabbit and wolf meat.
