Struggling to get the Friendly Rod in Fisch? Follow this guide to increase your odds and decide if the grind is really worth your time.
Landing big catches in Fisch often comes down to two things, luck and the rod in your hands. The latest update slips a new toy into that equation, the Friendly Rod, a social gimmick wrapped in bright paint and a brutal one percent drop rate.
Getting it is a grind, but there is a clear path that cuts through all the hard work. Track down Marlon Friend at the Moosewood docks, knock out his friend quests, and spin the reward wheel until it finally blinks green.
Friendly Rod in Fisch Roblox
To get the Friendly Rod in Fisch, talk to the Marlon Friend NPC, who stands at the docks in Moosewood. Once you find him, select the ‘Open UI’ option. This brings up the Friend Quests menu, which assigns random tasks to you. These quests are the only way to earn spins, and spins are the only way to get the Friendly Rod.
The entire process is chance-based. There’s only a 1% probability of getting the Friendly Rod per spin, so maximizing the number of spins is essential. The easiest way to do that is by bringing along a friend. When you and your friend complete the assigned quest, you get two spins instead of one. If only one of you completes it, you’re stuck with one spin.
For your first quest, you’ll likely need to catch 10 Bait Crates. The best place to do this is by sailing to Sunstone Island and heading straight into the Sundial Totem Cave. This cave has the highest known spawn rate for Bait Crates. Stay in the area, fish consistently, and collect all 10 crates.
Once you’ve met the objective, return to Marlon Friend. Interact with him again and use your spins. If you’re lucky, you’ll pull the Friendly Rod. If not, repeat the process. So, complete more quests, get more spins, and keep trying.
There’s no guaranteed way to speed this up other than repeating the loop and involving a friend for more spins per quest. The more spins you accumulate, the better your odds of eventually unlocking the Friendly Rod.
