Unlock the rare Voidtouched mutation in Grow a Garden with this guide. Maximize crop value during the Black Hole event.
Voidtouched crops are the golden ticket of Grow a Garden, and you will want to snag them the moment the sky darkens. This new mutation slaps a gigantic 135x multiplier on any harvestable plant, turning modest carrots into fat stacks of Sheckles faster than the compost piles can steam.
The catch is that Voidtouched never shows up during routine watering sessions. It appears during the admin-triggered Black Hole event, a quick in-game moment where gravity becomes lighter, giving players a chance to earn a lot of money.
How To Get Voidtouched Mutation
Voidtouched is currently the most valuable crop mutation in Grow a Garden. Unlike standard mutations, this one applies to any crop and boosts its selling price with a x135 value multiplier. That means a crop normally worth 1,000 Sheckles will now earn you 135,000 Sheckles. It’s not visually flashy, at least not always, but the value boost makes it a top priority for players chasing profit.
You can’t unlock or grind for the Voidtouched mutation in the usual way. It only appears during a rare in-game event called the Black Hole event, and it’s admin-triggered. You have no control over when it happens. The best you can do is be online when a developer decides to launch it.
When a Black Hole event begins, you’ll know immediately. The sky turns dark, a huge orb appears, and gravity changes, plus your jumps get unusually high. During this chaos, the event scans active crops across the server and randomly assigns the Voidtouched mutation to a few of them.
To improve your odds:
- Always keep your crops planted and growing.
- Stay online during major updates or weekend sessions; these are more likely times for admins to test or launch events.
- Join the game’s official Discord or social media channels to get real-time alerts about possible admin activity.
You don’t need to do anything during the event; just be present and hope your crops get touched by the void. Once the event ends, check your crops. If you’re lucky, you’ll find one or more have transformed, and their value has shot up dramatically.
There’s no guaranteed success, and you can’t force the mutation to happen. But when it does, Voidtouched crops can singlehandedly boost your in-game income, making the wait and the randomness worth it.
