Unlocking the Corrupted Tree in Grow a Garden is one of the key steps to access rare plants, pets, and powerful mutations. Acting as the dark counterpart to the Zen Tree, it requires Corruption Points that you earn by trading Tranquil mutation fruits and Sheckles with the Corrupt Channeller NPC. With each point collected, the tree grows and unlocks valuable rewards while adding the Corrupt mutation to random crops in your garden.

What Is the Corrupted Tree in Grow a Garden?

The Corrupted Tree is a special feature introduced as the opposite of the Zen Tree in Grow a Garden. It is located in the center of your garden and grows as you earn Corruption Points. Once activated, the tree resets every hour while applying the Corrupt mutation to random crops, making it an essential part of collecting rare plants, pets, and exclusive rewards.

How To Get Tranquil Mutation Fruits

To unlock the Corrupted Tree, you first need Tranquil mutation fruits. These are mandatory because the Corrupt Channeller NPC only accepts Tranquil plants with specific requirements. You can obtain Tranquil fruits through several sources:

  • Zen Aura event
  • Tranquil Staff
  • Tranquil Spray
  • Tanchozuru pet
  • Tranquil mutation pets

Prepare a stock of these fruits before approaching the NPC to avoid interruptions during the process.

How To Earn Corruption Points

Corruption Points are the key to growing the Corrupted Tree. Each submission you make to the Corrupt Channeller grants one point. Follow these steps to collect them efficiently:

  1. Locate the Corrupt Channeller NPC in your garden.
  2. Approach and press E to open the dialogue menu.
  3. Hold a Tranquil plant that meets the NPC’s requirements.
  4. Use the “Submit requirement” option to hand over the plant.
  5. Select the dialogue again and spend Sheckles to receive a Corruption Point.

Repeat this cycle with more Tranquil fruits and enough Sheckles to keep earning points. The more you submit, the faster the tree grows.

As you gather Corruption Points, the Corrupted Tree will progress through different stages. A board near the NPC displays your current point count. Each level unlocks more rewards and enhances the tree’s effects. When the tree resets every hour, it applies the Corrupt mutation to random crops in your garden. Higher point totals result in more mutated fruits, so consistent submissions are essential.

Rewards From the Corrupted Tree

Every time you submit to the Corrupt Channeller, you have a chance to receive a reward. These include:

  • Zen Egg – Hatch Zen pets
  • Chi Points – Spend in the Zen Shop
  • Corrupted Zen Crate – Unlock corrupted cosmetics
  • Corrupt Staff – Apply Corrupt mutation to nearby plants
  • Mutation Spray (Tranquil or Corrupt) – Instantly apply mutations
  • Tranquil Staff – Apply Tranquil mutation to nearby plants
  • Zen Seed Pack – Grow Zen plants
  • Corrupted Kodama – Chance to gain Corrupt mutation after farming
  • Enkaku Seed – Legendary plant

Each reward comes with its own drop chance, so repeated submissions increase your chances of collecting rare items. Unlocking the Corrupted Tree is a consistent cycle of preparation and resource management. With enough Tranquil fruits and Sheckles, you can grow the tree, unlock rare rewards, and fill your garden with powerful mutations.
