Traveling Merchants are a rotating group of merchants in Grow a Garden that appears on the map every four hours. They appear on the left side of the Seed Shop and remain there for thirty minutes. Players need to be online during the short window of the time they remain to access their shops. As of writing this, there are four normal Traveling Merchants that can appear in Grow a Garden. Some also let you buy items from previous updates. So if you missed out on certain items, buying them here is the way to go.

The 4th of July Merchant is technically also a Traveling Merchant. But he only appeared on July 4, 2025, for a day.

Traveling Merchants Mechanics
These merchants have a chance to appear every four hours in the space to the left of the default Seed Shop. Only one of them will appear at a time and will remain on the map for 30 minutes. Their shops also have a stock mechanic, meaning not all items will be available at all times.
Gnome Merchant
You can buy gnome-inspired cosmetics from this merchant. The Gnome Merchant can sell four types of crates:
- Common Gnome Crate
- Classic Gnome Crate
- Farmers Gnome Crate
- Iconic Gnome Crate.
Like the Cosmetics shop, the availability of the crates depends on the stock.
Sky Merchant

Unlike the Gnome Merchant, the Sky Merchant sells items from the Blood Moon and Lunar Glow events. Here is a list of items you can buy from the Sky Merchant.

Honey Traveling Merchant
The Honey Traveling Merchant sells items and seed packs from the Busy Bee Update. You can exchange Honey to obtain the items. What’s more, you can even exchange pollinated plants for Honey. Here is a list of items you can buy with Honey instead of Sheckles.

Summer Traveling Merchant

The developers also added the Summer Traveling Merchant during the Prehistoric Update. This shop allows players to get Summer Seeds in exchange for Sheckles. Seed availability depends on the stock. Here is a breakdown of all of the seeds you can buy from the Summer Traveling Merchant.
