The following beginner’s guide for Guardian Angel will help familiarize you with the basic gameplay elements of the Roblox experience. In guardian Angel, you are tasked with protecting a clumsy person, named Alex (by default). He’s constantly endangering himself and can die quite easily. You’ll need to protect him every time. A Beginner’s Guide for Guardian Angel
Gameplay Overview
In Guardian Angel, you’ll literally act as a constant protector for a person named Alex The Goofy. You can also assign a different name to him if you please. Alex is unbelievably clumsy and even the smallest fall can result in his death. So, as he begins walking through the city, you’ll have to protect him from any and all dangers. Dangers might include traffic on the street, a banana peel on which he might slip, open flames, drops from a considerable height, and lots more.
You’ll be following Alex each step of the way to prevent these mishaps from happening. While doing so, you’ll have four abilities that you can use to ensure his constant safety. These are:
- Push
- Hold
- Follow
- Bring
All of these are pretty self-explanatory. Push is the most useful when you have to immediately move Alex out of the way of an approaching danger. Hold allows you to hold Alex in place for some time. Use this one to prevent Alex from going toward the road in moving traffic. Bring is also highly useful. You can use that to teleport Alex from wherever he is to your current location.
Alex has three lives. After losing each life, it’ll go into a 30 second cooldown. If he dies again during this period, another one of his lives are lost. However, if you can keep him alive for the 30 seconds, he’ll get his third life back. Basically, if Alex dies three times within 30 seconds, he dies permanently. In that case, you’ll become the guardian angel to a different character.
Every time you save him, you’ll earn money. Also, to the right of the screen, you will see a reward track. The longer your Alex survives, the more rewards you’ll unlock.
Controls
The game’s controls are simple and intuitive. Here’s how you can control the angel:
- WASD: Movement
- Hold M2: Move camera
- Click M1: To initiate chosen action
- 1-9: Choose item or ability from hotbar
Ability Shop
Every time you save Alex from a potential death, you’ll earn some cash. You can then spend the cash to unlock new abilities from the Ability Shop. You can also invest some of your cash to get useful upgrades to your existing abilities. Keep in mind that every ability you purchase will be added to the hotbar permanently. Also, all abilities have a cooldown period, which means you’ll need to wait a while before you can trigger it a second time.
Angel Looks
You can also unlock or purchase cosmetic items to customize the appearance of your Guardian Angel. Some of them unlock on their own as you help Alex survive long enough. Others, you’ll need to buy with the cash that you accumulate.
Diary
The Diary section on the left hand side of the screen keeps track of all previous people that you were assigned to protect. So, if Alex loses all three lives, and you’re assigned a different person to guard, you can open up the Diary section and check how long you were able to protect Alex and other relevant details.
