Grow a Garden is back with another weekly update. The Zen Update sees an extension in the new Corruption Event Update. The update features a host of new gameplay mechanics, including new pets, plants, and NPCs. One of the NPCs added to the game is the Corrupt Channeler. Let’s learn what it does.
What Is the Grow a Garden Corrupt Channeler?
The Corrupt Channeler is a new NPC introduced in the Corrupted Event Update. This NPC is central to the event’s gameplay and is located in the orange half of the event hub at the center of the map. It requests players to submit specific Tranquil-mutated fruits that meet certain criteria, such as specific types (e.g., Tranquil Bamboo, Tranquil Tomato) and weight requirements (e.g., 4 kilograms).
How To Complete the Corrupt Channeler Quest
All you have to do is approach the Corrupt Channeler NPC located in the center of the map. It will direct you to give it certain fruits (typically, Tranquil-mutated ones). You can then go back and check your garden or inventory to see if the required fruit or crop is there. If you do, simply equip it (hold it in your hand) and give it to the Corrupt Channeler to help increase the Corruption Level.
Thankfully, it is a repeatable quest that resets every 1 hour. Completing these quests grants random rewards from the Corrupt Channeler’s loot table, which may include:
- Other items, like the Corrupted Staff, increase Corrupt mutation chances during the Corrupted Aura event.
- Corrupted Zen Crate (cosmetics, with a 13.04% chance from the Channeler)
- Corrupt Mutation Spray (manually applies Corrupt mutation to a crop)
- Corrupted Kodama Pet (4.35% chance from Corrupted Tree rewards, with a 4% chance to apply Corrupt mutation on harvest)
- Enkaku Seed (average sell price ~77,000 coins)
- Zen Eggs, Chi, or Tranquil Staff.
How To Get the Weight Requirement
Getting the correct fruit or crop for the Corrupt Channeler NPC is easier than getting the correct weight requirement. If your crop is underweight, you may use items such as the Basic Sprinkler to increase the size of your crop.
If you don’t have Tranquil-mutated fruits, you can use the Mutation Spray Tranquil, the Tanchozuru pet, and the Tranquil Pet Shard.
