Make sure that you use the appropriate bait to catch the fish. To make the experience easier, you can purchase a Bestiary Tracker from the entrance of Desolate Deep. It allows you to track your Bestiary progress anytime from the items menu.
Some fish spawn only at specific times. If you are looking for some of the rare fish, you can swap servers to find the right conditions. Here is how you can hop between servers:
- Press the Menu key on Fisch
- Click on Leave Game
- Click on the Play Button
- Repeat the process until you get the right weather or season to collect the fish you want
This process works only on public servers. If you play the game on a private server, you have to wait for the right season or weather to get your fish.
How To Unlock Desolate Deep
If you don’t have Desolate Deep unlocked, here’s what you have to do:
- Head to Sunstone Island
- Navigate to: -790, 125, -3100
- Use your diving gear to go underwater (purchasable at Moosewood Docks)
- Keep going down until you reach the chasm
- The right path takes you to the Desolate Pocket Area
