As part of the Ice Cream Shop update, players can now claim a free Legendary pet, named the Dango Penguin in Adopt Me. The update also introduces three other Ice Cream Penguin variants, all of which replace the King Penguins. However, to acquire any of these three variants, you’ll need to spend some Robux. How To Acquire the Dango Penguin in Adopt Me
To get your hands on the Dango Penguin, you’ll need to head to the Pet Releaser. You will need to release pets that you already own, which will earn you Pet Releaser Points. Once you accumulate 2500 Pet Releaser Points, you will get the Crystal Egg. Hatch this egg and there’s a 5.9% chance that the egg might give you the Dango Penguin. The Crystal Egg takes 5 tasks to hatch. Alternatively, rather than releasing your pets to earn the Crystal Egg, you can also get one from another player via trading.
Since the chance of the Dango Penguin hatching from a Crystal Egg is pretty miniscule, you might need to release a bunch of pets if you don’t already have a significant amount of Pet Releaser Points. That’s why we recommend looking for players who’re ready to trade their Dango Penguin for some other pet from your collection.

The Dango Penguin learns the following tricks in the given order:
- Newborn – Sit
- Junior – Joyful

While the Dango Penguin is available for free, you can also choose to adopt three other new pets, all of which are penguins. Head to the Ice Cream Shop and purchase Golden Goldfish. Then, use the fish to roll for one of the three new Penguin variants. Here are the three types you might unlock:
- Choco Penguin
- Vanilla Penguin
- Strawberry Penguin
Each of them have different drop rates. Keep in mind that each Golden Goldfish costs 195 Robux, which means you might need to shell out quite a bit of real cash to get your hands on these three new penguins.
