The Volcanic Biome Update Part 2 adds a couple of new weapons to 99 Nights in the Forest, including the Infernal Crossbow. It is an upgraded version of the base Crossbow added in the last update. How To Obtain an Infernal Crossbow
As of the Volcanic Biome Update 2, you can get the Infernal Crossbow from the rewards dropped by doing the ritual at the Volcano. For those who are unaware, you can throw cultist bodies into the Volcano and gain various rewards. Every eighth sacrifice, you can get items such as Cultist Gems, fragments of the Gem of the Forest, and the Infernal Crossbow.
Just follow these steps:
- Towards the mid-game, when you have good weapons such as the Rifle, explore the Volcanic biome till you locate the Volcano.
- Store as many Cultist bodies as you can in your sack and make your way inside.
- Walk over to the edge of the stone platform and throw all the bodies into the lava below.
- Rewards will spawn inside the ritual circle after sacrificing eight bodies.
- Rinse and repeat till the Volcano drops an Infernal Crossbow.
The only other way to obtain the Infernal Crossbow is to start as the Fire Bandit Class. The weapon is one of its starter items.
What Does the Infernal Crossbow Do?
Just like the Infernal Sword, it lights entities on fire, making it far better than a normal Crossbow. It also has infinite ammo, making it a very strong item for long games. A major benefit of using the Infernal Crossbow is that you can cook animal meat without using a campfire. Rabbits and Wolves, both of which die in one shot, will drop cooked morsels or steaks when shot with the weapon.
Cultists and bigger animals, such as a bear or mammoth, will take more time to kill. However, the fire damage from the Infernal Crossbow is a nice bonus.
