As the name suggests, the Lightcycle Mutation changes the appearance of the affected crops into a light cycle. All crops with the mutation cycle through the colors of a traffic light: red, yellow, and green. The cycle continues as long as the crop retains the mutation. In addition to the significant alteration to the cop’s appearance, it also adds a x50 modifier to its value when sold or traded.

How To Get Lightcycle Mutation
As mentioned, devs introduced the Lightcycle Mutation with the Beanstalk Event Update. Technically, Jandel spawned in a new admin-exclusive weather event just before the update went live called Stoplight. Only admins can spawn it. During this, plants in your garden have a chance to get the Lightcycle mutation. The crops flashing red, green, and yellow are on theme as the Stoplight weather event triggers a game of red light, green light in the Grow a Garden server.
Stoplight Weather Event Guide
During the Stoplight event, a giant Blood Owl from the Bloodmoon Event is behind the Pet Shop area, and a game of red light, green light starts. All players are teleported to the opposite side (Seed Shop area) and have to reach a finish line. Like a traditional red light, green light game, you can only move when the Blood Owl is looking away. If it catches you moving when it turns its head, you will be sent back to the starting line.
If you manage to cross the finish line before the event ends, you will get a cosmetic traffic light as a reward.
