One of the new gears available in the game is the Mutation Spray Corrupt. It is a special craftable item that gives a special mutation. Let’s learn what it does and how to get it.

What is the Grow a Garden Mutation Spray Corrupt?

The Corrupt Mutation Spray is a special craftable item that allows players to instantly apply the Corrupt Mutation to a specific crop of their choice. The Corrupt Mutation is a limited-time mutation introduced in the Corruption Update on July 26, 2025. It gives crops a distinctive red lightning effect with red and grey particles, boosting their sale value by a 20x multiplier.

How to Get the Mutation Spray Corrupt

You can obtain the Mutation Spray Corrupt as a reward from the Corrupt Channeller. To obtain it, first approach the Corrupt Channeller NPC (located in the center of the map).

You must complete quests for the Corrupt Channeller by submitting Tranquil-mutated crops with specific weights (e.g., a 4kg Tranquil Bamboo). These quests vary and reset every hour.

Once you submit the required crops, you will get the reward. However, there is no guarantee that it will include the Mutation Spray Corrupt. There is only a 8.7% chance of receiving it as a reward. This means that you may have to do the Corrupt Channeller quest multiple times.

How to Use the Mutation Spray Corrupt

If you have already obtained the Mutation Spray Corrupt, equip it from your inventory. It will appear as a held item. Walk up to your desired crop and simply click on it while you have equipped the spray. The Corrupt Mutation will be applied, giving the crop a distinctive red lightning aura.

This item can only be used once. Meaning, you need to craft it from scratch if you wish to get it again. So, make sure to apply the spray to crops with higher base sale values to maximize profits, as the 20x multiplier significantly boosts earnings.
