The Pet Shard Tranquil is a new addition to Grow a Garden. Introduced in the Zen Update on July 19, 2025, it is a divine-tier gear. It is also the first gear of its kind, and is tied to the ongoing Zen event. In this article, we will be exploring how to obtain the Pet Shard Tranquil gear and also see its uses.

Pet Shard Tranquil: How To Obtain Grow a Garden Gear

Without beating around the bush, the only way to get your hands on the Pet Shard Tranquil gear is from the Zen Shop. Follow these steps to access the shop:

Launch Grow a Garden during the Zen Event.
Walk up to the Tanuki NPC at the center of the map.
Select the ‘Show me the Zen Shop’ to see his stock.
Scroll down to the item and buy it with Chi.
The Pet Shard Tranquil costs 200 Chi or 279 Robux to buy.

However, if you are just starting out playing during the Zen Event, you will not have access to the later levels of the Zen Shop. To unlock the Pet Shard Tranquil, players have to grow the Zen Tree to Stage 7. You can grow the Zen tree by doing the following:

Harvest crops with the Tranquil Mutation.
The Tranquil Mutation will occur randomly during the Zen Aura Weather event every hour. Some pets also apply the mutation.
Submit the Tranquil plants to the Zen Chenneller to grow the tree.
To upgrade the Zen Tree to Stage 7, you will need to submit plants totaling 1,070 Chi in value.

The Chi value of a plant depends on its rarity tier. A Tranquil crop of a higher tier will give more Chi. Here is a breakdown of the Chi obtained from plants:

Common: 1 Chi
Uncommon: 2 Chi
Rare: 3 Chi
Legendary: 4 Chi
Mythical: 5 Chi
Divine: 6 Chi
Prismatic: 7 Chi
Transcendent: 8 Chi

Pet Shard Tranquil: Uses

The Pet Shard Tranquil is the first Pet Shard in Grow a Garden. The divine tier gear has only one use. Players can use it to apply the Tranquil mutation on any of their pets. Here is a full breakdown of the Pet Shard Tranquil uses:

Apply the Tranquil Mutation on one of your pets. Equip the gear and select the pet.
The pet gains the Tranquil mutation effects:
- The pet’s color will change to Turquoise
- The pet will gain the Tranquil ability, applying the Tranquil mutation to a random plant every 25 minutes.

This is quite a handy tool if you obtain it. Crops with the Tranquil mutation have a x20 multiplier to their value. The crops can also be used to obtain Chi, get more items from the Zen Shop. The Tranquil Pet Mutation is quite rare. The Pet Mutation Machine has a 3.12% chance of applying this to your pet. This makes the Pet Shard Tranquil the best way to get a pet with the mutation.
