The Purified mutation is one of the rarer mutations in Fisch. The popular fishing simulator has hundreds of different mutations that increase the value of your catch while giving it a different appearance. Sometimes, quests will require you to catch a fish with a specific mutation. In the Leviathan update, you need a Purified Cathulid or Cathulith to initiate a Leviathan Hunt.
There are multiple ways to get a mutated fish in the game. This article will cover how you can get the Purified mutation on a catch in Fisch for whatever reason.

How To Get Purified Mutation in Fisch
You can get the Purfied mutation in Fisch by using the Insight enchantment or by giving it to Chisler NPC. Both methods can be a bit unreliable, but since the mutation is not appraisable, these are your only two options for obtaining it. We have broken down both methods below.
Insight Enchantment
Catching fish with a rod that has the Insight Enchantment has a 30% chance to apply the Purified mutation on your catch. To get the Insight Enchantment, you have to use an Enchant Relic on the rod you desire. Follow these steps to get it:
- Go to the Keepers Altar under the Sovereign Statue island in Fisch. You will have to use the elevator to descend to the altar.
- During nighttime, use an Enchant Relic at the Keepers Altar and start rolling for enchantments on the rod of your choosing. There is a 1/28 chance to get the Insight Enchantment.
- If you already have an enchantment, the chance increases to 1/27.
- The Insight Enchantment also increases the XP you get for each catch by 1.5x and increases the lure speed by 20%.
Chiseler NPC
This is an NPC you can find on Ancient Isles next to the Merchant. To get the mutation;
- Submit a fish with the Amber Mutation to the Chisler.
- The NPC will remove the Amber mutation for 100 C$, and there is a 50% chance that the fish will now have Purified Mutation.
The Amber mutation itself is a bit tricky to get. There is a small chance (0.28%) of catching Amber fish while fishing at Ancient Isles. You can also get it from appraising your catch (0.24% chance).
Purified Mutation Appearance and Value Modifier
Any fish with this mutation gets a 2x value modifier, making them worth twice as much when sold to a merchant. It is one of the few times when the mutated version does not look different from the base appearance of the catch.
