Grow a Garden has recently dropped a new update called the Pet Mutations Event (12 July 2025). The update saw a host of new and fun content, including the introduction of new Dino-themed pets. The Dino Pets are tied to the Primal Egg. This article will focus on the Iguanodon, a legendary-tier pet. Let’s find out how you can obtain it in Grow a Garden.

Grow a Garden Iguanodon Pet Guide

To get the Iguanodon in Grow a Garden, you need to hatch it from a Primal Egg. It is a Legendary pet introduced in the Pet Mutation Update with a 32.5% hatch chance.

How To Get The Primal Egg

Step 1: Go to the central area of the game and find Barry, the Raptor NPC, wearing a helmet.
Step 2: You need to upgrade the DNA Machine to at least the third stage (requires a total of 280 KG of Prehistoric Plants across four upgrades).
Step 3: Once the DNA Machine is upgraded to the third stage, head to the crafting table near the Prehistoric quest stall or Blaire NPC in the central area. To craft, you would need 1x Dinosaur Egg, 1x Bone Blossom, and 5,500,000 Sheckles.

Alternative Methods

Another method to get the Primal Egg is to trade with Graham. Trade non-dinosaur pets at the upgraded DNA Machine (green dinosaur variant, max level preferred). Trading doesn’t guarantee results, as you might get Primal Eggs, Dinosaur Eggs, or other pets, but it costs less if you have extra pets.

You can also purchase a Premium Primal Egg using 149 Robux.

Note: There is no guarantee that you will get the Iguanodon from the Primal Egg. It has a 32.5% chance of hatching from the Primal Egg. You might need multiple attempts to obtain this pet.
