Learn to play Lost Currents with our comprehensive guide. Discover how to survive, explore, and gather treasures together.

Lost Currents is a survival and exploration co-op game on Roblox. Your party’s objective is to survive and salvage treasure from the sea while on a boat expedition. Almost all meaningful actions in the game, such as diving down using the diver’s helmet, require two people. So, Lost Currents is one of those games where it is recommended to bring a friend.
This is a beginner’s guide on how to play the game. We will explain the core gameplay loop and how to buy boats and classes to help you on your journey.
Lost Currents: A Beginner’s Guide

You start with a default class that has no perks. You can buy more classes by spending Gold, one of the in-game currencies. The core gameplay loop is all about diving down to the depths of the sea using the diving gear on your boat and collecting treasure. You can sell the items for Cash at Rustbeard’s boat. Beware of pirates—they can easily kill you. There is a shop on your boat where you can spend Cash to get upgrades.
There are a few types of things you can find at the bottom of the sea. Before getting into how to play the game, let’s look at the controls.
Controls
- Movement: Use WASD to move.
- Interact: Press the E key to interact with items, gear, and repair things on your ship.
- Tug: When you are diving, press Q to tug and let your party members know that you want to be pulled up.
- Inventory: You can press on the item you have in your inventory to use it.

Lost Currents: Tips and Tricks

- Getting upgrades from the shop on the boat is key to survival.
- When diving, be on the lookout for sharks. They can easily kill you. Use the Tug feature to pull out if you don’t have a Harpoon Gun.
- Pirates can become a hassle if you don’t have an Assault Rifle. You can buy a class that has a gun as a starting item or get one from the boat shop.
- As you progress, things will get harder. Play with friends, as communication is key.
- Do not sell all of your Gold for Cash. Bringing Gold back is how you unlock new classes and boats.
