Guide to solving the Ancient Puzzle of Prophecy in Block Tales. Conquer the challenge to progress in Chapter 4.
Block Tales Chapter 4 released on May 31, 2025, adding a desert- and ancient Egypt-themed area called the Scorched Dunes. You are tasked with obtaining the Firebrand Sword, and to do that, players have to get past a slew of new enemies and solve puzzles. One of the last puzzles in the game is the Ancient Puzzle of Prophecy. You encounter it in the Red Sun River zone after beating the Temple Guardian.
This article will serve as a guide to solving the Ancient Puzzle of Prophecy. Players need to complete the puzzle in order to progress the story of Block Tales and reach the final boss at the end of Chapter 4.
Ancient Puzzle of Prophecy in Block Tales Chapter 4: Solution and Guide
To complete the Ancient Puzzle of Prophecy in Block Tales Chapter 4, the player has to do a couple of things. The hint to the puzzle is on the floor of the room in the form of a prophecy. The hint reads:
“Under the gaze of the [Red Symbol] in the sky conspire, heat of [Green Symbol] fall to us, saftey which we desire. Quell the heat [Violet Symbol] does provide.”
Before we continue, the game has a built-in way to get more hints about the puzzle. Players will find Medjed standing in the room on the left and can talk with him to get more information about the puzzle.
Without further ado, let’s get to solving the Ancient Puzzle of Prophecy. Follow these steps to easily complete the puzzle.
The First Symbol (Glyph Cylinders)
First, you have to use your sword to rotate the glyph cylinders on the back wall to match the [Red Symbol] in the hint. The symbol is divided into two halves, which rotate individually. You have to use your sword on the two wheels on each side of the room to rotate the glyph cylinders. To solve the puzzle:
- Climb up to the wheel on the left and strike it with your sword once.
- Go to the wheel on the right and strike it thrice.
The Second Symbol
With Symbol A done, we move on to the second part of the Ancient Puzzle of Prophecy. You will find a symbol in green on top of the central platform of the room. To change the symbol, use double jump. Match it with the [Green Symbol] from the prophecy by changing it once. If done correctly, the ray of light in the middle of the screen will turn red like the picture below.
The Third Symbol
Now comes the tricky part. To complete the puzzle, you need to move the pushable pillar on the right of the screen into the correct position. But before that, place the correct orb on it. There are four orbs on stationary pillars in the middle. Match the symbol on the pillar to the [Violet Symbol] in the hint. Correspondingly, the correct orb is the red one on the left-most pillar.
After putting the red orb on the pushable pillar, you need to move it to the right place. From the starting position, you can follow these steps to push the pillar to the right spot:
- Push it down.
- Push it left.
- Push it up.
- Push it left.
- Push it down.
- Push it right.
- Push it down.
- Push it right.
- Push it up.
- Push it left.
Congratulations, you have solved the Ancient Puzzle of Prophecy and are ready to progress your adventure in Block Tales Chapter 4.
