The following article explores how you can summon a Severed Spine in Grow a Garden, and every reward you can earn from summoning.
You can now summon a Severed Spine in Grow a Garden, as part of the game’s Ghoul Garden 3 update in its ongoing Halloween celebrations. You can do this when the Harvest Reaper event is active, and the scythe carrying hooded new NPC spawns. While the figure seems ominous, if you can fulfill his requirements and provide him with everything he needs, you will receive exclusive rewards from him. In the following piece, we’ll detail how you can complete the summoning process for the Severed Spine, and what it gives you.
Summoning the Severed Spine in Grow a Garden
The Harvest Reaper NPC spawns automatically in the middle of the lobby every two hours. So, you’ll need to head to the same location where you also get the Witch and the Dead Tree spawns every alternate hour. So, if you don’t see the hooded figure yet, wait for some time until he arrives. Once the NPC arrives, you will see 25 ritual plates surrounding him. These plates will burn with orange flame when you first encounter them. Follow the process mentioned below to complete the Severed Spine summon.
- Step 1: Approach each of the ritual plates and press E near them. This will show you what plant you’ll need to place on that specific plate.
- Step 2: If you already have the plant in question, bring it out of your backpack and hold it in your hand.
- Step 3: With the plant required in your hand, press E near the plate again. Click on Submit option to offer up the plant you’re holding to the plate.
If you deliver the correct plant to each plate, all of them will now burn blue instead of orange. In most cases, you will need to submit common plants, such as Carrot, Jack-o-Lantern, or Pumpkin. However, some of the ritual plates might demand these common plants with a specific mutation on them. Keep in mind that you need to submit the right plant to all 25 of the ritual plates to complete the summoning process.
Rewards For Summoning the Severed Spine in Grow a Garden
After contributing to all 25 of the ritual plates, you will receive the following rewards:
- Guaranteed Candy Corn drop
- Guaranteed Spooky Chest drop
- Chance to get the Severed Spine seed
Note that the Severed Spine seed isn’t a guaranteed drop even after you complete the summoning process. That’s because every time the Harvest Reaper event starts, there’s only 500 Severed Spine seeds up for grabs. Each player can only grab one such seed per event spawn.
