The Volcanic Biome Update Part 2 is live in 99 Nights in the Forest, and with it, we have a new boss enemy called the Cultist King. The boss is a giant version of normal cultist entities in the game and drops some unique items. However, it does not randomly spawn on the map, and you have to perform a ritual at a specific location to summon him.

How To Summon the Cultist King
You have to use four Cultist Gems at the new Cultist King Base location to summon the boss. As of the current patch, there is a new location that players can find that resembles a big castle, as shown above, in the Volcanic Biome. You will find a few enemies guarding the base. After you defeat them, follow these steps to summon the Cultist King:
- Clear the base and make your way inside the Cultist King Base.
- You will find four altars in front of a tinted glass.
- Submit four Cultist Gems at the pillars, and the Cultist King will appear in front of you.
Grinding the Volcano is a good way to get the gems.
Tips On Defeating the Cultist King
The boss is significantly larger than a normal Cultist. Here are some tips on fighting the Cultist King:
- It only deals melee damage, so try to stay out of its way.
- Using long-range weapons is recommended. Use Crossbows or guns such as the Rifle or the Tactical Shotgun.
- Bringing a couple of friends will make the fight much easier.
- Make sure it is daytime during the fight. The new Ram enemy that spawns at night can complicate the boss fight.

Here are the items that the Cultist King drops after you defeat the boss:
- Cultist King Antler: Ingredient for the Infernal Helmet
- Infernal Sword or Infernal Crossbow
- Wildfire Potion
- Coins
