The Great Outdoors Update is live in Doors, adding a bunch of new entities to the horror game on Roblox. The new subfloor is available for free during the event and takes place outside in a garden setting. Among the new entities haunting the new rooms is the Mandrake. Befittingly, it resembles a plant that can cause instant death to you, the player, if not handled properly.

Everything You Need To Know About the Mandrake Entity in Doors
Overview: Appearance
Doors is a very popular horror experience on Roblox. The first-person game features a variety of entities that act as the main enemies in the game. While a handful of them can be passive, the Mandrake is not one of them and can kill you if you do not know how to counter one. You can only encounter them in the Great Outdoors accessed by the Greenhouse Entrance in the Hotel.
Mandrakes jump scare you when you are walking in the subfloor outside and resemble a ground plant. They jump out of a designated hole in the ground around the path near you if you get near and start screaming. It does not damage your health, but if you let the screaming continue, the screen eventually goes black, and the player character has a heart attack and dies instantly.
Mandrake: How To Survive
There is an easy way you can survive if a Mandrake attacks you in the Great Outdoors. The first thing you will see when one jumps at you is that the camera will turn towards the source of the Mandrake, i.e., the hole it came out of. To survive the attack, follow these steps:
- Press E to pick up the Mandrake after getting attacked.
- Do not panic. Locate the hole where the Mandrake vines are coming out of and walk towards it.
- After reaching the hole, you can just put the entity back inside it. This disarms the Mandrake, and it looks like a normal plant. Do note that you have to put it in before the screen blackens; otherwise, you will die.
- Alternatively, bring the Mandrake over to the Groundskeeper NPC. The Groundskeeper will cut out the entity.
- There is another way to avoid dying. If you get as far away as you can from the hole, you can outrun a Mandrake. However, you should ideally just locate the source and put the entity back into the ground.
