Grow a Garden Pet Mutations update saw two new items added to the game in the form of treats. You can obtain two types of treats — small and medium. This article will focus on the Medium Treat, which is a legendary-tier gear. It provides a significant XP boost to pets, helping them level up faster to reach level 50 for pet mutations. Let’s learn how to get it.

How To Get Grow a Garden Medium Treat

The Medium Treat is available at the Gear Shop, run by Eloise, located at the green and white striped stall near the Pet Eggs and Cosmetics/Crafting Stall. It will cost you 4,000,000 Sheckles (in-game currency) or 119 Robux (real money).

It’s worth noting that this item may not always be in stock since it is a legendary-tier item. The Gear Shop refreshes every five minutes, so check frequently or join the official Grow a Garden Discord server for stock notifications.

Each stock cycle only offers three Medium Treats, so you have to act quickly to get them from the Gear Shop.

How To Use the Medium Treat

Using the Medium Treat is quite straightforward. First, open your inventory by pressing the tilde key (`) on PC. Select the Medium Treat from your inventory. Click or double-click on the chosen pet to consume the treat and activate the XP boost. There will be no confirmation window, so be certain of your pet choice.

Note: Make sure that your chosen pet’s hunger bar is full. The medium treat won’t work if the pet is hungry. You can use multi-harvest crops (like strawberries or blueberries to keep your pets full.

What Does the Medium Treat Do?

The treat provides a medium XP boost for 24 hours (86,400 seconds), doubling the duration of the Small Treat’s 12-hour boost. The boost increases XP gain by 3x-5x times compared to normal leveling, significantly speeding up pet progression.

You can further boost the XP growth by pairing the Medium Treat with pets such as Cooked Owl, Blood Owl, Night Owl, or Capybara.
