The My Fishing Pier experience on Roblox has received yet another huge update that brings new content and features. The Oil Rig event is here to stay for the week. You can collect four new indexes and catch over 16 new fish. Two new weather events, Shooting Stars and Blossom Breeze, will give your fish a few mutations. The developers have also made some changes to existing events and introduced several improvements as well.

What’s New in the My Fishing Pier Oil Rig Update
Starting off with the Oil Rig event, there’s a new location on the map where you can fish for brand-new species. The Oil Rig event is My Fishing Pier’s first-ever content update to introduce an entirely new area for players to explore. You can find the teleporter to the Oil Rig in the town. Once you step on it, you’ll be transported to the Rig, where you can catch event-exclusive fish that yield oil.
Sell these fish to John Oil in exchange for Oil, a brand-new currency. Once you’ve gathered enough Oil, you can purchase event-exclusive baits to permanently add to your pier!

New Weather Events
Two new weather events are introduced in the latest update. The Blossom Breeze and Shooting Stars event were the most voted among the three events on the official Discord server. Both events give your fish new mutations that can fetch a nice profit in the town. The Blossom Breeze event can take place at any time throughout the day. The Shooting Stars event, on the other event, will take place at night. The new mutations each weather events provide are as follows:
- Blossom Breeze weather: Scented, Blossomed, and Floral.
- Shooting Stars weather: Starry.
Other Updates
Other updates and improvements include:
- Two new Fishing Rods available for purchase in the regular shop.
- New ‘Shellfish’ Bait available for purchase at the Bait shop.
- The burnt mutation from the heatwave weather is now removed from the game.
