The Strongest Battlegrounds saw a brand new update on May 25, 2025. The update introduced several significant changes and additions to the game. Among the new characters added was Monster Garou. The character comes with three base moves and features a red visual effect to distinguish itself from its base Hero Hunter moveset. This article will provide a complete guide to Monster Garou in The Strongest Battlegrounds.

What Is Monster Garou In The Strongest Battlegrounds?

Garou’s Monster Form from the One Punch Man Monster Association arc (pre-Cosmic Fear) served as the inspiration for Monster Garou, a sub-character or mastery variant of the Hero Hunter moveset. It is a close-range, high-damage moveset that emphasizes aggressive rush-down play and includes some armored moves.

Monster Garou Moveset

Monster Garou currently has three distinct base moves. Let’s look at them:

  • Doom Dive: A powerful, high-damage move, likely a slam or strike that deals significant impact. Great for initiating or ending combos due to its damage output.
  • Crowd Buster: This move is designed to tackle the crowd. This move is particularly useful in a team game or a 2v1 scenario.
  • Hammer Heel: This is a heavy-kick move and comes with two variants. The base variant (where you simply kick the enemy) does 9 damage. If you jump and kick, then there is a different animation that deals 17 damage.

Monster Garou Ultimate Mode

This moveset has an ultimate mode called the Limit Breaker. The ultimate mode enhances its moves, increasing damage and adding flair, with an aura inspired by Garou’s monstrous form. You can see a red bar filling up above your movesets. Once it is filled up, you can activate the ultimate mode.

Combos

You can play around with some combos with the moveset. Here are a few recommended ones:

  • Basic Combo: M1 x 3 → Doom Dive → Side Dash → M1 x 3 → Crowd Buster
  • Aggressive Combo: Front Dash → M1 x 3 → Hammer Heel → Jump → M1 → Doom Dive → Side Dash → Crowd Buster
  • Punish Combo: Crowd Buster (to interrupt opponent) → M1 x 3 → Doom Dive → Back Dash → Hammer Heel
