The Grow a Garden Corrupted Kodama is a legendary pet introduced during the Corrupted Zen Event. Let’s learn more about it.

Grow a Garden has recently released a new update called the Corrupted Event. The new event features a host of new gameplay content, including brand-new NPCs, pets, and plants. This article, in particular, will discuss the Corrupted Kodama. It is a legendary-tier pet added to the game. We will also discuss how you can obtain this pet in the game.
What Is Grow a Garden Corrupted Kodama?
The Corrupted Kodama is a legendary pet in Grow a Garden, introduced as part of the new Corrupted Zen Event on July 26, 2025. It has quite a unique appearance that sets it apart from the other pets in the game. It presents itself in a humanoid form, with glowing horns, misaligned eyes, and a skull-like mask with brown, wood-like horns attached.
What Does the Corrupted Kodama Do?
The Corrupted Kodama has a unique passive ability called Tree Spirit. When equipped, the Corrupted Kodama has a ~4% – 4.22% chance to apply the Corrupt mutation to Zen-type fruits. The Zen-type fruits include the likes of Bamboo, Lotus, and more. The corrupted mutation increases the value of your crop by 20x.
How to Get the Corrupted Kodama
The Corrupted Kodama cannot be purchased directly from the in-game shop. You can, however, obtain it from the Corrupt Channeller NPC. This NPC is located at the center of the map. It will assign you the quests for the Corrupted pets.
The NPC requests specific fruits or crops with particular mutations (Tranquil mutation) and weights (Example: 4 kg Tranquil Bamboo). Try to grow and harvest the required Zen-type fruits (Example: Bamboo, Lotus, or other Zen Seed Pack crops) with the specified mutation and weight.
Once you have obtained the required crop, deliver it to the Corrupt Channeller. Upon successful quest completion, there is a 4.35% chance to receive the Corrupted Kodama as a reward.
Tips for Completion
Grow a diverse set of Zen-type crops to meet varying quest requirements for mutations and weights.
Quest requirements change periodically, so visit the Corrupt Channeller regularly to match your inventory to current demands.
