The Ostrich is a Legendary pet introduced in the Summer Harvest Update on June 21, 2025. As far as its appearance is concerned, it has a unique design with a long neck, slightly long legs, and a black body with white-tipped wings and tail.

Ostrich Passive Ability

The Ostrich has a unique passive ability called the Eggsperience. When active, it grants an age bonus to pets hatched from any egg while it is active in your garden. This bonus ranges from +1 to +4.66 age per Ostrich, applied once per hatch.

The age bonus stacks with multiple Ostriches. For example, with 8 Ostriches equipped, a newly hatched pet can start at Age 40 or higher, significantly speeding up pet progression.

This is quite a useful passive to have. A higher age means that your pets have better stats and abilities, better cooldowns, increased success rates, etc.

How To Get the Ostrich in Grow a Garden

There are two ways you can get the Ostrich in the game. Let’s check them out:

Buy Paradise Egg: The first method involves the purchase of the Paradise Egg from the Pets Eggs Stand for 50,000,000 Sheckles. The Paradise Egg has a 7% chance of appearing in the Pet Egg Shop. Players need to check the shop regularly due to its low spawn rate and random restocking every 30 minutes.

Once you have obtained the egg, you can place it in your garden. It takes about 6 hours and 40 minutes to hatch and has a 40% chance of hatching the Ostrich.

Alternative Method: Another method is to purchase the Paradise Egg for 139 Robux from the Pets Egg Stand. This involves real-world money, so be prepared to spend.
