Grow a Garden Corrupted Staff Guide

The Corrupt Staff is a limited gear item introduced in the Corrupted Update for Grow a Garden, released on July 26, 2025. It is used to apply the Corrupt Mutation to nearby crops during the Corrupted Aura weather event, enhancing their sale value with a 20x multiplier. The staff redirects a corruption orb, duplicates it into two, and mutates nearby crops. Remember, the staff will disappear after 5 uses (you will not find it in your inventory).

How To Get the Corrupt Staff

To obtain the Corrupt Staff, you must complete quests from the Corrupt Channeler NPC. The Corrupt Channeler NPC is located at the center of the map (hub area). First, interact with the NPC to check out its request. The NPC will typically ask for Tranquil mutation fruits of specific types and weights. You can obtain Tranquil mutations via the Zen Aura weather event.

Once you have obtained the Tranquil Mutated fruits, submit them by selecting the “Submit requirement” dialogue while holding the item. This will give you a random reward from the Corrupt Channeler’s loot table, with an 8.7% chance of receiving the Corrupt Staff. Other possible rewards include Corrupt Mutation Spray, pets like the Corrupted Kodama, or cosmetic crates.

Tips for Success

Keep yourself prepared for the NPC request. Grow a variety of crops with various weights. You can then use the Tranquil tools or pets to ensure Tranquil mutations. If you have already obtained the Corrupt Staff, then place it near high-value crops like Elder Strawberry or Sugar Apple during this event to maximize profits.
