A Nihonzaru glitch in Grow a Garden has been going viral, with many players getting locked out due to a bug. The developers have yet to address or fix the issue, and many players are experiencing various problems after using the new pet. In this article, we will explore the Grow a Garden Nihonzaru glitch that can lock players out of certain features.

Grow a Garden: Nihonzaru Glitch

The Nihonzaru is one of the new pets in the Zen Update. It is a Rare-tier pet that resembles its real-life counterpart, the Japanese macaque, and is tied to the ongoing Zen Event. It seems the glitch can occur only if you have the pet equipped and active in your garden. Here is a breakdown of how the pet works:

  • An active Nihonzaru pet in Grow a Garden reduces the cooldown and boosts the passive abilities of other active pets.
  • This boost only activates if you have a Hot Spring asset in your garden.
  • The Nihonzaru will bathe in the Hot Spring and passively boost other pets.
  • This effect can stack over time.

What Does the Glitch Do?

It appears that if you have multiple Nihonzaru pets active, it can bug out the cooldowns of other pets. Some players report that their Spinosaurus and T-Rex pets receive a huge boost to their abilities, with drastically reduced cooldowns. On paper, this is exactly what the pet is supposed to do. However, having the pet active seems to have another effect — it prevents players from being able to send gifts, essentially stopping them from trading.

According to the official Grow a Garden Wiki, equipping the Nihonzaru pet can currently cause a bug where a prompt stating “ineligible to send gift” appears in the game. Many players also claim that the glitch can corrupt their save files.

Nihonzaru Glitch Solution

As of now, the Grow a Garden developers have not addressed the issue. With the number of reports about glitched saves, players should steer clear of using the pet. It is not clear exactly what is causing the glitch, and the developers will likely add a fix in the future. However, until then, you should avoid trying to trigger the Nihonzaru glitch, even if it provides massive buffs to other pets. Otherwise, the game may flag your account, and you could be banned.

In the meantime, you may want to get rid of the pet through one of the following methods:

  • If you have a glitched pet, you can try to sell it at the Pet Egg Shop.
  • You can also submit the pet to the Mutation Chamber to reset its stats.
