The Carrot Event in Grow a Garden is a limited-time, admin-spawned weather event introduced in the Zen Update on July 19, 2025. Since it is controlled by admins, there is no manual way for players to trigger it. Typically, it takes place an hour before weekly updates.
Objective
Players collectively donate carrots to fuel a massive Radioactive Carrot Ship, which appears behind the Seed Shop, to fill its launch bar to 100%. Once the launch bar is full, the ship takes off, explodes in the sky, and spreads radioactive fallout, triggering the Radioactive Mutation for crops.
How To Participate
Since this event requires you to donate carrots, you will need to stock up on them. Carrots are common-tier crops, so you can purchase them in bulk easily without spending much. These crops also grow quite quickly (6.5 seconds), which makes them ideal for mass harvesting.
Once the event starts, approach the Radioactive Carrot Ship. Donate your harvested carrots to contribute to the collective goal of filling the launch bar. The more carrots you donate, the higher your chance of receiving the Radioactive Mutation for your crops.
You can also team up with friends who are looking to complete this quest and have a lot of carrots. This will make it easier.
What Is the Radioactive Mutation?
As a reward for donating to the Radioactive Carrot Ship, your crops may receive the Radioactive Mutation. This mutation gives your plants a glowing green appearance and a massive value boost.
Mutated crops gain a value multiplier of approximately 90x to 118x their base value, depending on the crop. For example, a Radioactive Orange Tulip is worth 91,028 Sheckles compared to its base value of 767.
