Among the one-handed weapons, the Goblin Swinglash is one of the best weapons you can pick up early on.
The Goblin Swingslash is a one-handed axe of Power Level 2. With a Durability of 850, Combo Level 5, and a Combo Multiplier of 28-50, the weapon is the perfect goblin slaying tool. The weapon is fairly easy to obtain too, if you know where you’re looking, and is meant for most of your early hours.

To obtain the Goblin Swingslash one-handed axe, you first need to find its recipe. You find the recipe to craft the axe as part of the Dragon Slayer quest in Runescape Dragonwilds. You can complete this quest by heading over to Bramblemead Valley and talking to the Wise Old Man NPC. The NPC will give you several objectives in this quest, such as hunting deer, hunting a general, building a shelter, and much more. Building the shelter is the objective we’re seeking.
Once you build your own shelter, you’re immediately raided by goblins who seek to destroy your new stronghold. Clear out the goblins till a ‘Goblin Bruiser’ spawns in and raids your base. Defeat this special enemy, and he will drop a ‘Lore Piece’ item. Read the Lore Piece to unlock the Goblin Swingslash recipe.
With the recipe in hand, you can craft the Goblin Swingslash using the following ingredients at the Crafting Table:
- 10x Animal Bone
- 6x Ash Logs
