In RuneScape Dragonwilds, you’ll need to gather lots and lots of wood. The material is essential in almost everything you craft or build. Leveling up your woodcutting skill is a great way of ensuring that you never run out of this important resource.
In this guide, we’ll explore the best possible ways to level up your woodcutting in RuneScape Dragonwilds fast. Our guide will help you reach high or even max levels in this particular skill quickly, which also lets you unlock all associated abilities in the skill tree.
How To Quickly Level Up Woodcutting in RuneScape Dragonwilds

To ensure you level up quickly, you’ll need to reach Level 11 in Woodcutting. At Level 4, you’ll unlock the Overhead Chop skill, while Level 11 unlocks the Axtral Projection skill. With these two skills in your repertoire, you can greatly speed up the leveling-up process in Woodcutting.
Following is the process of quickly unlocking the levels in this particular branch.
- Step1: Craft a Stone Logging Axe using Ash Logs and Stone. You can find both of these materials lying around in various parts of the map.
- Step 2: Use the Logging Axe to chop down trees until you reach Level 4 and unlock Overhead Chop. You can use this ability to chop down trees much quicker.
- Step 3: Continue chopping trees (around 6 more) to reach Level 11. At this level, you’ll unlock a spell to cut down trees instantly, known as Axtral Projection.
- Step 4: Craft a Rune Altar and create a vast collection of Astral and Air Runes. You’ll spend 5x Astral and 10x Air Runes every time you cast the Axtral Projection spell.
- Step 5: Use Axtral Projection on a tree to fell it quickly and then Overhead Chop to break the logs down into usable wood. Doing this repeatedly will provide you with a substantial amount of Woodcutting XP.
Repeating this method should help you reach Level 27 and unlock the Splinter spell. With it, chopping fallen logs becomes quicker. Keep in mind that Axtral Projection has a 45-second cooldown after every use. Don’t waste this time just standing around. Use standard chopping to knock down trees. When your stamina appears to be at its lowest, unleash the Axtral Projection spell once more. This should give your stamina bar time to recover.
