The S24 Ultra gets its power from a 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset which delivers fast performance although it no longer leads the speed category. The Galaxy S25 Ultra received upgraded thermal management features from Samsung.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 within the Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a “Made for Galaxy” tag. Samsung and Qualcomm state that the new processor beats its previous flagship model through CPU speed, raised by 30%, and GPU performance raised by 37% together with NPU capabilities rising by 40%.
Storage, RAM and OS
These smartphones come with up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage available to users. The 5,000mAh battery of both devices comes with 45W fast charging support. The S25 Ultra starts with Android 15-based One UI 7, but the S24 Ultra runs on Android 14-based One UI 6, although Samsung guarantees the same update support for both devices.
The S25 Ultra provides users with an extended period of software updates beyond its competitors. This flagship smartphone sets itself apart with Gemini Advanced features and a 2TB storage option as its main selling point. Especially, since these options do not exist in the S24 Ultra.
Both devices will receive AI features through the One UI 7 update. They provide users with Google’s Circle tool for searching video content, audio files, URLs, and other items.
