New details have emerged about the all-new upcoming foldables from Samsung. The report comes from the Korean media outlet The Elec, covered by SamMobile very recently. We now have information regarding the materials used in Samsung’s upcoming foldable flagships: the Z Fold 7, as well as the rumored Tri-Fold. Let’s discuss what was revealed.

Titanium is a material that Samsung has used in its flagship S25 Ultra, as well as in its predecessor. However, the foldable products still featured Armored Aluminum. The Z Fold 6 notably featured a significant weight reduction compared to its predecessor. Now, the Z Fold 7 is expected to be even lighter.

Finally, with the Z Fold 7 and the rumored Tri-Fold foldable phone, titanium materials are expected to be incorporated into the design. With increased lightness and durability, there is also a chance that the new Samsung foldables could become more expensive. According to the report, the digitizer layer may be removed from the new Fold phones in an attempt to make them much thinner.

The Z Fold 7 and the rumored Tri-Fold could feature a titanium frame. However, the report states that Samsung will use titanium material for the backplate, which connects the display panel and hinge together. In any case, a major design overhaul is definitely coming to the latest foldable phones, and this is exciting news for foldable phone fans.

The Galaxy Fold 7, Flip 7, and a new Tri-Fold foldable phone are all expected to make their debut at Samsung’s next launch event. Another Korean media outlet, TheBell, even reported that production for the displays of upcoming foldable phones has already begun. Of course, these phones will feature the latest OneUI, and experts expect Samsung to showcase AI features.
