This guide explains everything you need to know to be prepared for Season 16 of Sea of Thieves.

Reapers Rise Again in Sea of Thieves

Captain Flameheart, the Ashen Skeleton Lord, has once again risen to spread terror in Sea of Thieves. This time around, he is getting help from the Order of Bone and Blade, an elite group of skeleton warriors.
In Season 16, these ashen skeletons will not only help Flameheart, but you as well. You can take on the first-ever Reaper Voyages and recover these skeletons to bring them back to you. Moreover, they can join combat, lead you to valuable treasures, and help you carry loot back to your ship.
Portable Cannons in Sea of Thieves

Listening to the players’ complaints, Rare will be adding the Cannon of Rage when Season 16 begins. The Cannon of Rage is a brand new portable cannon that you can take anywhere with you. Moreover, these cannons can also be placed anywhere you want on land or on your ship.
However, these cannons do come at a cost. Like the Chest of Rage, these cannons can also get overheated after a couple of shots. If you do not douse the cannon with water to cool it down, it will explode just like a gunpowder barrel. Using this new object is a high-risk, high-reward move. You can get chase and rear cannons, but you can also cover your ship in flames.
Brand New Reaper Voyages

As mentioned before, the Reaper faction is receiving its first-ever voyages. Till now, you would have raised the Reaper flag and done voyages for another faction to get loot and sell it at the Reaper’s Hideout. However, in Season 16, you can take on Reaper exclusive voyages to obtain new items or fight against the ancients to loot their sacred graves. We can expect voyages to keep getting added to the Reapers starting from Season 16 in Sea of Thieves.
