Shroud shares his thoughts on the PirateSoftware World of Warcraft drama and the controversy surrounding OnlyFangs guild.
A lot of streamers have voiced their opinion about the Jason “PirateSoftware” WoW drama, including xQc, Asmongold, and Mizkif. The latest to join the conversation is none other than the renowned streamer and former professional esports player, Michael “Shroud.” The WoW drama surrounding PirateSoftware is a hot topic on the internet, with many chiming in to provide their takes. For context, Jason decided to abandon his raiding crew, which led to the death of two players in the hardcore mode. Due to this, he received criticism and was eventually kicked out of the guild. Shroud stated that:

He emphasized that Jason could have gone about it in a better way. However, Shroud also called out the community, stating that the community could have also gone about it in a better way. Shroud is usually away from feuds and drama; however, he does provide his insights on these situations. Michael stated in his stream that the community has blown the drama way out of proportion.
“I think PirateSoftware could have gone about it in a better way, but at the same time, the community that’s f**king ragging on him could have gone about that some other way too. So, like, who cares?”
Although Shroud’s take on the situation seemed neutral, the Reddit community criticized the streamer for his stance. A clip from the segment was shared on the r/LivestreamFails subreddit. Many Redditors chimed in to criticize Michael for giving a “baseless” take on the situation. Many streamers consider the LivestreamFails subreddit to be one of the most toxic communities on the platform.

Many Redditors believe that Shroud does not know enough about the drama. Some users even joked that Michael would end up on a list mentioned by PirateSoftware, suggesting that he would be reported to Twitch. However, Michael’s statement on the matter landed him in hot water on Reddit.
