Kick streamer Trainwreckstv donated $50,854 to Twitch streamer Shroud’s “Fragathon” charity event for St. Jude’s Hospital.
Twitch streamer Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek launched a charity event on January 4, 2025, to raise money for St. Jude’s Hospital. To support the charitable cause, Kick streamer Tyler “Trainwreckstv” Faraz Niknam showed up on Shroud’s chat and donated $50,854.
According to Shroud’s subathon rules, the total donation amount scales with donations, subscriptions, and in-game eliminations. Shroud has teamed up with other content creators who are streaming from his house to raise money.
With Trainwreckstv’s donation, Shroud’s “kill multiplier” now has a 5X multiplier. This means that every kill he or one of the participating streamers gets in any game until the end of the event will add $5 to the donation amount.
Shroud Reacts to Trainwrecktvs’ Donation
Shroud was in a Marvel Rivals game when Trainwreckstv’s donation popped up on his screen. The Twitch streamer was surprised at the donation and said:
“Holy! Holy f*cking shit bro. Hold on, dude. It went through, the Train dono went through. Bro, I am not going to be able to focus on this game man. He actually did it. He actually freaking did it. He actually…uhh, okay. I knew he was going to, I know Train is a man of his word. We gotta get a multiplier for that. We gotta get our frags up. We gotta catch up bro. $50,000 for St. Jude’s.”
Trainwreckstv was in Shroud’s chat. He looked at Shroud’s response to his donation and said:
“50,900 baby!!! GOOD SH*T CHAT, THAT WAS A TEAM EFFORT!”
A few hours after the original donation, Train repeated the donation, bringing his total contribution to over $100,000. Train is a former Twitch streamer who left the platform and co-founded Kick. His Twitch account still has an Affiliate status, and he actively plays Valorant and Marvel Rivals with streamers from the platform.
Fragathon Has Raised Over $430,000 for Charity
Shroud posted a video on X on January 4, 2025, revealing his “Fragathon” event. The month-long subathon event features content creators like Timothy “Syncedez” Putro, Jodi “Quarterjade” Lee, Hannah “bnans,” Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, and others creators.
He has a LAN party set up at his home, and streamers can visit his home and play to raise money for charity. Shroud said in his announcement:
“I am inviting all my friends to come by and donate frags in person at a LAN center I am building in my house. There’s also going to be IRL events and challenges that will add to the counter when we are not gaming.”
So far, the streamer has raised $430,000 for charity. The event raised $100,000 in the first four days, but it hit a snag due to the Los Angeles wildfires. He had to pause the event, but it’s now back on track.
100% of the proceeds will go to St. Jude’s Hospital. When the community reaches certain milestones, the $1 multiplier goes up for each in-game kill. Train’s donation made the multiplier jump to 5X, which helped raise even more money for the cause.
