Everything you need to know about Sid Meier’s Civilization 7, including details on its pre-orders, editions, and more.

Sid Meier’s Civilization 7, the upcoming new title from the iconic strategy game franchise, is just a few months away from release. Although the game was announced quite a while back, pre-orders for the title went live fairly recently. Like the previous Civilization titles, the seventh mainline entry is a real-time strategy game that sees players build, nurture, and ultimately destroy vast cityscapes and civilizations (no pun intended).
Although the game’s core premise remains identical to the past entries, Civilization 7 does come with a fair few new tricks and improvements. The biggest new features are the vastly improved visuals, as well as cross-play support for multiplayer.
With the game’s looming release date, players might be interested in getting their pre-orders in for the upcoming Civilization title. Before you do so, here’s everything you need to know about Sid Meier’s Civilization 7’s pre-order, editions, and more.
Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 Release Date and Platforms
Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 is scheduled to be released on February 11, 2025. The game is coming to all current-gen as well as previous-gen systems, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Furthermore, the game is also coming to the Nintendo Switch on the same date as other platforms (February 11, 2025). There’s also an early access incentive for players who pre-order the Deluxe or Founders Editions of the game.
Pre-order either of the more expensive editions allows you to access the base game roughly 5 days early. Essentially, for Deluxe or Founders Edition owners, the game will be playable on February 6, 2025.
