4K territory is more of a lavish, high-end territory. It’s there for the taking, but playing competitively is a waste at this resolution. This is debatable. If you have high-end hardware, you can consider it. However, for users with 12 GB or more VRAM GPUs, including those starting with the 3080 Ti and later models, this guide will be beneficial. Please note that, due to the game’s current optimization, there will be performance trade-offs. You will experience better performance with lower settings, as these provide the best visibility for enemies. Ultimately, you are shooting people here, not taking portraits.

Note: If the game fails to start, try turning off Afterburner and Discord overlays. Battleye is likely flagging these, and the game is not starting.

A few keynotes to consider:

  • 4K is very demanding in Siege X, primarily due to the newly added render features, including DirectX 12. 
  • Stick with the suggested Shadows and VFX settings, as these provide the best enemy visibility
  • Always use fullscreen mode and the highest refresh rate supported by your monitor. By chance, if you are on a display that supports 144Hz at 2K and 60Hz at 4K. Dial it back to 2K, and the experience will be significantly better.
  • If you are using a 12GB VRAM GPU, it is recommended to monitor VRAM usage using either the Nvidia app or RTSS. Exhausting the buffer can cause the game to stutter.
