Silent Hill F runs great on modern hardware. The game is built using Unreal Engine 5 and utilizes Lumen for lighting and reflections. This design choice can be demanding at times, and for that, we have customized settings that you should incorporate to ensure a balance between image quality and frame rate.

Note: The recommended GPU power for this game at 1440p is an RTX 5060 Ti or higher. GPUs such as the RX 6700 XT and Arc B580 will also be able to provide a decent frame rate. However, set the reflections to SSR rather than Lumen.

These settings serve as a great starting point and should be customized accordingly. If you are experiencing traversal stuttering, it is a common issue with UE5 games. Try capping your frame rate just below your average frame rate or your monitor’s maximum refresh rate, whichever applies, using tools like RTSS.

With a 12GB VRAM card and these settings, you can expect maximum VRAM usage to be approximately 10 GB. On Nvidia GPUs, if you have sufficient performance headroom, it’s best to swap to the DLSS 4 transformer model using the Nvidia app or DLSS Swapper. This way, you will get the best image quality at 1440p.

Currently, the game doesn’t support the use of DLAA as an anti-aliasing option. Therefore, the best approach on Nvidia hardware is to use DLSS on the Quality preset. For AMD cards, FSR or TSR would work fine.
