As you go about escaping the horrors in the opening act of Silent Hill F, you’ll run into a house that locks you in, with the only way out being a ‘bloody key’ somewhere in the building. The bloody key is an item you need to progress ahead, but finding it is incredibly difficult.
The task is made a whole lot worse by the oppressive music and sound design during this section, constantly keeping you on your toes. If you’re looking for the bloody key but can’t seem to find it, this guide is for you.
How To Find the Bloody Key in Silent Hill F
You find the bloody key inside the first house you enter and are locked into in the game. Shortly after the chase sequence with the fog monster, you run through alleys to avoid all the other monsters. Running through all the alleys eventually brings you inside a house. As soon as you enter this house, the door automatically locks behind you.
Once you’re in, explore around and collect all the capsules and bandages on the first floor. Then, head upstairs and enter the room with the open window. Opposite the window, you’ll find a bloody mask on the floor.
Walk up to the bloody mask and press the button prompt to observe it. Then, press LB/L1 to examine the mask further. You’ll then spot the key pierced into the mask. Interact with this key to acquire the item.

How To Use the Bloody Key in Silent Hill F

Once you have the key in hand, head outside the room, and a monster will burst out of the room right ahead. You have to use the key in the room from where the monster burst out. Now, you could very well try to brute force your way and run past this monster, but we won’t recommend that. The hallway is narrow, and the monster will hit you if you try.
What you should do is run down to the dining room below. The monster will come chasing you into this room. Once it enters, use the round table at the center to run around the monster and quickly rush upstairs. Enter the room it came out of, and you’ll find a locked door. Use the bloody key here to escape.
