The sculpture looks like it belongs somewhere specific. If you place it correctly, it allows you to access the Naginata, a weapon with a longer reach than the Kaiken dagger.

How To Get Inari Sculpture in Silent Hill F
When you reach the Dark Shrine Corridors in Chapter 4, the first thing you need to do is find the Storage Room Key. The key lies in a room you can reach by crawling under a barricade in the northern part of the area. Once inside, the key rests on top of a chest in one of the western rooms.
After obtaining it, you will notice an altar in the inner corridor that is missing an object, hinting that the sculpture is needed. Using the Storage Room Key will unlock the storage room, where you can find story notes and other items, though the Inari Sculpture itself is not in this room.
Once you leave, a previously locked door will now be open. Follow the map to this new room on the left side, and you will reach the far end where some paintings fall, revealing a hidden message. There, on a desk surrounded by Japanese illustrations, sits the Inari Sculpture.

How To Use Inari Sculpture in Silent Hill F
After retrieving the sculpture, return to the altar that needed it. Place the Inari Sculpture into the altar, and it will trigger a secret passage that leads to the Naginata weapon room. Be prepared, as a Blade Leg Monster will appear as you enter. Defeat the enemy and collect the Naginata, which offers better reach and damage than the Kaiken dagger.
Later, you will use the sculpture again in the Worship Hall section. Place it on a wooden shelf with lit candles to continue the story progression.
