The Rusted Flask in Silent Hill F is described as an old thermos with a shattered interior, making it useless as a container. It has no practical function, but the item represents spiritual weight in the story. It stands as an offering tied to the second Jizo Statue ritual. For players chasing the Sacred Sword, the flask is one of five key offerings you need.

In this article, we will explore how to get the Rusted Flask in Silent Hill F.

In the New Game Plus, the flask appears in Chapter 3 while you are asked to head toward Rinko’s house.

Your path begins at Ebisugaoka Fields. Move north from the farmland until the road splits. Take the left fork leading toward the Sennensugi Shrine. Near the entrance to Sakuko’s shrine, you will notice a gravestone marked by small white fox figurines and stone lanterns. That gravestone holds the Rusted Flask.

Note: Once you leave Ebisugaoka for the Middle School, the area becomes sealed. If you forget to collect the flask before this point, you will have to wait for your next run.

Once the Rusted Flask is in your possession, place it at the second Jizo Statue found along the northern path of the fields. Offering it there fulfills the requirement for the Water element in the Sacred Sword ritual. Only then can you continue the sequence that eventually rewards you with one of the game’s strongest weapons.

On your second New Game Plus run, things change. The Rusted Flask won’t appear at the statue anymore. Instead, the Sacred Sword shows up directly. This happens because the puzzle is already counted as complete from your first playthrough. So, the flask matters only the first time you replay in New Game Plus. After that, you no longer need to search for it. Its role ends once the Sacred Sword becomes available on its own.
