Silent Hill F isn’t a survival horror game in the traditional sense. Instead, it’s more in line with psychological horror titles like Amnesia or the original Silent Hill trilogy. That said, the game does have plenty of gameplay mechanics that are borrowed from modern survival horror titles, such as Resident Evil or even last year’s Silent Hill 2 Remake. One such mechanic is the limited inventory space.
Similar to other survival horror titles, Silent Hill F has a shared inventory space for all the consumables you collect while exploring Ebisugaoka. The inventory in Silent Hill F starts with very limited slots. As such, you find yourself running out of space quite often.

How To Increase Inventory Capacity in Silent Hill F?
To increase the inventory capacity, you will need to find pouches and school bags. As you explore Ebisugaoka and its various locales, you will find pouches and bags hidden in several key locations. Collecting these bags automatically increases your inventory capacity by 1. At the start of the game, you have access to 5 inventory slots.
However, if you’re thorough with your exploration, you can end your first playthrough with 9 slots. The first few upgrades are very easy to find as they’re usually tucked within main story locations. However, the final few upgrades can be a bit tricky to find as they require you to tread optional paths.
Additionally, New Game Plus also unlocks more inventory upgrades, which can be obtained towards the end of the playthrough.
How To Get Additional Omamori Charm Slots in Silent Hill F?
In addition to Hinako’s inventory capacity, you can also increase the number of Omamori charms she can hold. At the start of the game, Hinako can only equip one Omamori charm at a time. However, you can upgrade this capacity with Ema and Faith. Ema can be found while exploring Ebisugaoka and the Dark Shrine.
Faith, on the other hand, can be obtained by sacrificing consumables and other key items. Do note that Faith is also used to upgrade Hinako’s core attributes as well as craft new Omamori. Furthermore, you can also obtain unique Omamori by exploring Ebisugaoka.
As such, crafting the charms isn’t particularly necessary.
